Fur Guide
Storage
Store fur pieces on a broad, padded hanger that supports the shoulders, in a cool, dark, well-ventilated space. Avoid plastic garment bags, which trap moisture — a breathable cotton bag is a better choice if you need to cover the piece. Keep fur away from direct heat sources and radiators, and give it room so it isn't compressed by other garments.
Everyday Care
Shake out your piece gently after wearing to let the fur fall back into place. If it gets wet, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat — never use a hairdryer or heater. Avoid spraying perfume or hairspray directly onto fur, and keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight, which can dry out the pelt over time.
Cleaning
Fur should only ever be cleaned by a professional furrier who specialises in fur garments — never by a standard dry cleaner, and never washed at home. We recommend a professional clean and condition once a season if the piece is worn regularly.
Faux Fur & Cashmere Pieces
Faux fur can usually be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth and air dried; check the care label on your specific piece. Cashmere knitwear should be hand-washed cold or dry-cleaned, laid flat to dry, and stored folded rather than hung to avoid stretching.
Long-Term Storage
If you're storing a piece for several months, consider professional cold storage, which protects fur from heat and humidity during warmer seasons.
